It's so inviting outside
I shouldn’t complain. The weekend was lovely, with warmish, mostly sunny days. I got some good gardening done and walked on the beach. Actually, this is the way it’s supposed to be, nice on the weekends and rainy during the week. The sky around Port Townsend followed the plot.

Against plastic bags
These two women are dressed up in outfits made up of 500 plastic bags, the kind that grocery stores use. That’s 500 each. It must have been hot. Apparently, 500 is the number of plastic bags we each use up in a year.
They were out collecting petition signatures to ban the use of disposable plastic bags, probably paper bags too. I didn’t ask. They circulated around the Port Townsend Farmer’s Market last Saturday.

Pride and joy in new trees
I know, this isn’t a particularly interesting photo. It’s just a snapshot of our two new trees. I didn’t realize that it was Earth Day when I planted them, but in retrospect, how appropriate. The one in front is a Stewartia, and the farther one is a Katsura. I love both of them.

This photo shows Key City Theater’s refreshment area. During performances, this is where one would get coffee, snacks and other goodies.
Thought for the day
This isn’t a great photo. It’s not even about Port Townsend, though I found this in a local parking lot. For some reason, it just hit a resonance.
Rainy days don't make fun gardening
Lots of rain the last few days. Here’s our garden cart not being used.
