The Octobus hits the water in the 09 Port Townsend Kinetic Skulpture Race

For the water portion of yesterday’s Kinetic Skulpture Race, the Octobus relies on those huge tires for flotation. Watching the other entry, the one with oars, it became quickly obvious that wheel powered propulsion was vastly superior to rowing or paddling in the water.
