Boat beached at low tideA shallow bottom can make anchoring deceptive. This boat anchored about 250 feet from the high tide beach line. At lowest tide the water line was actually another 50 feet or so farther out. Fortunately this is a catamaran and rests upright on the bottom. Every year we see one or two boats with more traditional hulls resting on their sides at low tide.
