Out My Back Gate

More and more Port Townsend people are complaining about the number of deer in town. I walked out of our fence, built to keep deer out of our garden, heading for my car. These two young deer had stopped for a rest in the shade. Even though I was barely 10 feet away, they held still long enough to get their picture taken.

They are so cute ! I had 4 big deer in front yard Monday night upon my return from a photo club meeting. They did not care I was flashing my headlights. i just let them eat what they want. They were here before us. My neighbor had a garden for 1 year. The deer and racoons got all the good stuff.

Put me in the Support the Deer catagory…they’re a gift and worth a plant or two! I even planted an apple tree for them…

I’m glad you like them, Sue. They are cute. Do you know how expensive it is to fence a whole city lot to keep them out of your collectable plants?
