Aphids
I wondered if I could get a closeup of the aphids that are infesting our Parahebe perfoliata (common name – Digger’s Speedwell). I now know what this kind of aphid looks like.
One odd side effect of living with a serious gardener is that I often know the Latin name of a plant and not the common one. It makes me sound much more educated in plants than I am. She’s the gardener. I take picture of the pretty plants.

You just made me smile. Sometimes the botanical name comes to me first and I cannot think for the life of me of the common name. Usually I feel very embarrassed!
Great shot of the aphids!

Thanks for the sympathy. I know the embarrassment. In my case, though, it makes me sound like a much more knowledgeable gardener than I actually am.

It’s beautiful macro shot. Aphids is so tiny but you got it right. Happy Monday!
