Hay Time in Chinese Gardens

Last week was sunny and warm, the perfect weather to bring local hay and straw fields to harvest point. While the obvious place to see cut fields would seem to be out Chimacum way, the Chinese Gardens in Fort Worden State Park got their cutting too.

Some of your pastoral shots look like paintings because of the light and time of day…I find this one just beautiful.

The time around sunrise and sunset is called the golden hour by photographers. The warmth and softness combine with long shadows to make things glow.
