A Passion of Poppies

Poppies in the Namura field
Collective nouns for groups of birds can be quite fun. A peep of chickens, a siege of herons, a covert of coots; they’re all quite proper descriptions of bunches of birds. Why can we not have a passion of poppies? These are in the Namura’s field on the corner of San Juan and Discovery.

I love the contrasts in this picture, between the colorful poppies and the monochromatic out-building. Bravo!
