Photos of My Port Townsend

Lots of weather the last few days. Rain, wind, and sun have combined to create some dramatic scenes. I’ve seen rainbows every day this week. This one shows that the heavens shine on Port Townsend High.

The clouds returned on Friday, but not without a bit of a gift. The sunset was spectacular. Here we see it over the corner of Lawrence and Tyler Streets, Uptown.

Port Townsend hosts more than it’s share of festivals and events. With Fort Worden Conference Center, Centrum and the Northwest Maritime Center between them hosting something almost every weekend of the summer, we have tourists here every weekend attending something. The Port Townsend Public Library started construction in 1913 with a Carnegie Library Foundation grant. It enjoys the highest per capita usage in Washington State. As you can see it also has its share of poppies.

Artichokes, leafy and root veggies are what’s available now at the Saturday Port Townsend Farmers’ Market. Well, there are all sorts of products made with locally grown foods, but this is what’s fresh.

I took this photos a couple of weeks ago. In my spare time, I used Photoshop to remove the power lines and poles.
