As we move towards spring, Port Townsend is already greening, or at least the grass and ground weeds. Kah Tai Lagoon Park demonstrates that in a more pleasing photo than would the grass at home I’ll need to cut soon.

Blue skies finally put in an appearance in Tuesday. As you can see the same hillside view point that gives us rainbows can also offer up some lovely sunsets. While we don’t get to see a lot to the west, the northern view out towards Whidbey Island and the San Juan’s isn’t that shabby.
River Park in Sequim hosts some lovely cottonwood trees along the Dungeness River.
I love the patterns of light and shade that the puffy clouds scatter across the landscape on a partly overcast and windy day.
This row of oaks and maples, with a few poplars and pines thrown in, gives a nice show in the fall. While many of Port Townsend’s trees lost their leaves before showing color, just 15 miles south there’s a nice display of color.
I grew up in farm country and sights like this remind me of old crisp autumn days. The trees are different here but the colors of fall hold true in many places. This photo is also from Center Valley.
