Farm Pond

Here’s another shot from Beaver Valley. Yellow leaves from the poplars in back, the alder on the left and the blackberries in front frame the view.

Fransom Trucking

Continuing with the South County theme, here’s a clever “billboard” sign advertising Fransom Trucking. This is on Beaver Valley road not Center Valley.

Patterns of Light

I love the patterns of light and shade that the puffy clouds scatter across the landscape on a partly overcast and windy day.

Maples and Oaks Put on a Show

This row of oaks and maples, with a few poplars and pines thrown in, gives a nice show in the fall. While many of Port Townsend’s trees lost their leaves before showing color, just 15 miles south there’s a nice display of color.

Finn River Farm

A number of organic farms have sprung up in the area in the last few years. The operations are small but provide quality produce and products. Finn River Farm & Cidery is one such located in Center Valley.

Autumn Road

I grew up in farm country and sights like this remind me of old crisp autumn days. The trees are different here but the colors of fall hold true in many places. This photo is also from Center Valley.
