Sunrise surprise

I was walking along the beach in Fort Worden hoping for some nice sunrise color. A boat anchored offshore made a nice focal point for the photo.

Morning at the marina

Last Saturday members of area photo clubs visited Port Townsend to photograph boats. It seemed like a fun activity to get involved with. I got to see other’s views of the city. Got to take some photos, myself.

After the tourists head out

This building is the headquarters for Puget Sound Express, a company that does boat tours to the San Juan Islands, as well as whale watching and other nature related tours. The building and the boat they use are situated in Point Hudson Marina.

Coming in from a cold sail

The sun has been out the last few days. The sky is bright but temperatures are cold.

This thing is supposed to float

I’ve been watching this craft being constructed for several months now. It’s a floating boat. The concrete at the bottom of the craft is hollow and supposedly will keep the house floating. It doesn’t seem like this would work, but there’s a lot of money getting paid for the construction. I think that this is only technically a boat.
