<p>I grew up hating brussels sprouts. That was before I learned that the stuff you buy in frozen bricks doesn&#8217;t taste a lot like the properly cooked and grown variety. One secret is to let the heads stay on the plant until you&#8217;re ready to eat them. Frost makes them sweeter. Roasting or grilling the heads gets rid of what&#8217;s left of the sulfur taste, leaving a remarkably flavorful and sweet treat.</p>
