As a tourist town, Port Townsend has, as you’d expect, its share of kitschy arts and crafts shops. It also has a few nice galleries that in aggregate make it an appealing destination for people who appreciate art. One such is Artisans on Taylor, across the street from the Rose Theatre.
The intricate window display is actually a sculptural installation by local artist Margie McDonald, (the g is pronounced as it is in Maggie), who has several of her unique sculptures on exhibit in AOT. Margie is kneeling in the window, working on the piece. The owner Anna is standing.

Thank you for the photo of our little shop. I stumbled across you today and got lost for about an hour thumbing through photos and saying, “hey I know that place!” Thank you for the work you have done.
