Salt Creek in the Fog
We’ve had morning fog for nine straight days now. The first foggy morning last week I was excited. Now I have a whole pile of fog photos.
This is the estuary of Salt Creek, which lies about 20 minutes west of Port Angeles. Clallum County designated it a county park, and it’s one of our favorite campgrounds. At low tide you can walk out to a sea mount or explore tide pools. Or you can just take photos.

I love this photo of the estuary with the bird perched on the bleached log – very evocative! I like foggy days but I guess the thrill would pall after a day or two.

I guess a little fog goes a long way. It sure makes for great photos.

The thrill has receded a bit, but I still love the foggy mornings, the feel of the mist on my arms and face as I walk. I’m just at the point where I need some fresh fog photo ideas. I’m sure they’ll come.

Love the mystical feel to it. Fog does that now doesn’t it. :)

This is exactly how I picture your little corner of the world. :)
Makes me want to grab some boots and a heavy cable knit sweater and go exploring.
