The sun shines on Lake Crescent
About an hour and a half west of Port Townsend lies beautiful Lake Crescent in Olympic National Park. We headed out for a hike to Marymere Falls, about a mile from the Lake Crescent parking lot. What we found was that the trails through the woods still had a good covering of snow. Most of the trail wouldn’t have been too bad. It’s almost flat. The last bit up to the falls goes up a steep set of stairs that wouldn’t have been fun with ice and snow covering the steps. So instead of hiking, I spent some time taking photos of the lake, which was a nice consolation prize.
