Battle of Port Gamble
Each year in June, the Washington Civil War Association holds an event in Port Gamble to portray different units and organizations that existed during the American Civil War. Participants stage battles in period uniform and provide commentary. They also have period authentic displays. The Association holds other reenactments, which I haven’t attended.
Their next event is on July 9-10 in Newport, Washington.

it’s much easier to imagine our history with scenes like this.

I love how the smoke clouds the shot as if I really am looking back into the past. :)
Super shot!
I’ve tried catching up here a little. Your link in my comments always takes me to your test blog and only today I realized I needed to scroll down to get the link here. I’ve bookmarked you now though so I’ll be back. :)

Yes, Carletta. Your blog doesn’t allow for direct links to anything other than Blogger blogs.

Oh, this is beautiful – the smoke adds mystery to the image.
