A Deluge of Ducks
The highest density of ducks in the area is at Carrie Blake Park on the west end of Sequim. This pond had several hundred in it. Normally you have to visit several ponds or small lakes to see the birds but most of the ponds are frozen, so the birds congregated here.
We saw the ubiquitous Mallards, American and Eurasian Widgeons, Pintales, Gadwalls and a Ring Necked Duck along with a large flock of Canada Geese.
