This little gal was zooming away at the flowers below our deck. The fuzzy white bars on the side of the picture are actually the posts of the deck railing.

This swallow is nesting in a box attached to the side of our house. I was sitting on our deck with the camera, snapping shots like a madman every time it or the other swallows swooped by. I caught several hundred shots of empty sky or blurs, and this.
K planted crimson clover in our empty lot. Although it makes lovely swaths of dark red amongst the grass and weeds, I never realized how pretty the individual flowers are.
