I know that these plants are considered weeds, but the white seed pods are so lovely, especially with a bit of morning dew settled among the threads. This is linked to Macro Monday.

This little gal was zooming away at the flowers below our deck. The fuzzy white bars on the side of the picture are actually the posts of the deck railing.

Foot surgery this week has limited my range so here’s another shot from our garden.

This swallow is nesting in a box attached to the side of our house. I was sitting on our deck with the camera, snapping shots like a madman every time it or the other swallows swooped by. I caught several hundred shots of empty sky or blurs, and this.

K planted crimson clover in our empty lot. Although it makes lovely swaths of dark red amongst the grass and weeds, I never realized how pretty the individual flowers are.

I know it’s cliche, but there’s this rule, you see: every photographer who lives near a marina needs to occasionally take a boat reflection shot.
