It seemed appropriate to feature a boat for the Port Townsend Christmas photo.

The merry old elf gets around. Here he looks out on Water Street from the old barber’s chair in the window of Jim’s Barber Shop at the corner of Polk and Water Streets.

Living on a hill that faces open land offers frequent views of both eagles and hawks. Yesterday I got to see four of the birds, two at home and two at H.J. Carroll Park in Chimacum.

The sun, such as it is in December, shone straight down Taylor Street and up the Haller Fountain steps on Friday morning.
