Letting Coffee Take Over My Kitchen
When you have a 400 square foot house, space is limited, and you have to make some serious choices about what kind of stuff to keep. For me, good coffee is important. You might even call it a fetish.
Except for the jar of sea salt above the stove, everything you see is involved in making coffee. The device between the kettle and the burr grinder is a roaster for turning green coffee beans into the dark brown ingredient I brew. The odd tubes above the stove are the components of my AeroPress coffee maker. I also have a vacuum pot in a drawer that I use for some coffees. A shelf in one cupboard is filled with bags of green coffee. Yeah, I like coffee.
