Old wooden boat on Fort Worden dunes
It pays to watch other photographers. I was headed to the lighthouse at Point Wilson to set up for a moon photo. It was a half hour before the sky would darken enough for the shot I had in mind. On the road there, a Japanese couple had stopped along the side of the road, in the bike path, which is illegal. The man had a camera and tripod set up to shoot the old boat on the dunes. My mouth must have dropped when I saw the full moon over the dunes. If they’re parked there, why not join them?
Pure serendipity. I probably wouldn’t have even noticed what was there without the other photographer working the shot. Though I think I got he better angle.
